PvP is the heart of this game? That sounds like a moderately biased opinion. PvP balance might be the heart of the overwhelming proportion of skill updates themselves but it's been beaten to death how many players play PvE vs. how many play PvP. Also, Guild Wars is not divided into PvP and PvE definitively as so many people around here seem to think it is. The game as a whole must be updated and improved for better gameplay overall. Sorry that the vocal minority was displeased with the major update. Don't try to minimize the magnitude of the update just because you didn't get your toy.
Maybe it gets constantly ignored because there's no way of pleasing the PvP crowd. Ever thought of that after countless updates have been criticized to death and cried about incessantly?
And here, if you think otherwise, I'll link this post to a QQ thread about the May balances that will inevitably arise seconds after the skill updates are released.

Maybe because you can't please the PvP crowd by putting in overpowered skills and invincible mode? PvE is terribly unbalanced, no one complains though. Why? Because it works in your favor. Easy ectos and no skill required builds. Lucky for you, AI can't complain and so no one really cares!
PvP on the other hand, plays against other players. People generally dislike unbalanced situations, and therefore want them changed. As fun as it is to call PvP players the vocal minority, there is still a strong playerbase that enjoys playing PvP. And the moaning etc is all in the hope that eventually we will get listened to and some needed changes will take place.
It's ok, you just stick your zoo :3.

The responsibility is shared: Anet did make some terrible mistakes and didn't fix some clearly bugged skills, BUT the PvP community acts with a lot of immaturity and arrogance as a whole (sometimes it feels as if they're continuing their PvP games in the forums, I mean, you have to win an argument right?). The nicest PvP players can mostly be found in game, not on Guru (although it's how I met one ).
Nevertheless, in her recent interview on the 4th anniversary event on the Sanitarium radio, Linsey said that they want to maintain a "critical mass" for PvP.

Maybe you could ask the update team to be less lazy this time and make the pvp/pve changes different. Seeing the "balance team" make the exact same changes to the exact same skills 2 months straight for pvp and pve is pretty disheartening.

What you dont understand is that this update is vital for a good pvp. What are you interested in ? DoA ? right, imagine they close DoA during 2 months, u cant access it unless u got lucky but it only happens 1 time per week. Then you will understand pvpers. Got it? They need this update TO BE ABLE TO PLAY the game they like.
